Paving the Way to a Brighter Future

Education

Nursery education is not offered by the government. Many small children are left alone at home while their parents work in the fields. Fortunately, there are many churches or local initiators who start a kindergarten to provide these children with a safe place in the morning. Many toddlers are therefore cared for in a church, or in a building that the chief (village head) has assigned. The teachers are mostly volunteers, people without teacher training.

Since 1994, primary education (6 – 14 years) has been free. This has ensured that many more children go to school. The result is that schools now have to contend with overcrowded classes (up to 150 children), insufficient teachers and a major shortage of primary needs (classrooms, furniture, teaching materials).

However, many children still do not go to school or do not go to school regularly. The great poverty ensures that they are needed at home to look after brothers/sisters or to help on the land. Now many people understand the importance of education but only for a boy child. Many children (especially girls) do not finish primary school!

There are even more dropouts from secondary school onwards. In order to follow secondary education, school fees and examination fees must be paid (approx. 35 euros/trimester). Many parents cannot afford that for their children. We encourage girl child education.

Heart of Joy & Love Foundation wants to spread our message of hope and compassion. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy and outreach activities, our team works each day tirelessly to contribute their part to the greater good.

ARTICLE 3: AIMS

The Organization aims to eradicate ignorance, Diseases, Poverty, and violence by:

Setting up income-generating projects to help revolving funds and enable self-reliance attainment among members
Establishing programs aimed at the provision of a healthy environment and improved nutrition to all by using locally available resources
Demonstrate and propagate the Kingdom of God to both poor and rich for its nature of love, peace, and joy.
Mobilizing human and material resources to uplift community living standards, putting the value of human life as a central value and concern
To develop boys' and girls' confidence and awareness, and empower them to become active members of their communities
To enhance the social functioning and interactions of individuals, and communities by involving them in accomplishing goals, developing resources, and preventing and alleviating distress

ARTICLE 4: OBJECTIVES

To stop all forms of violence; physical, economic, psychological, sexual, religious, etc.
Committed to addressing issues related to HIV/AIDS, Malaria, and other infectious diseases through campaigns for preventive measures, treatment, and vaccinations;
Identifying, nurturing and developing talents among members of the community
Identifying and supporting needy school children to attain formal education and training; and establishing a suitable steady network with other stakeholders; the government, organized groups, Institutions, and Individuals to value human life.
Establishing a Centre for developing, receiving, and disseminating information
To help children with down syndrome reach their whole potential life by granting them to access to good health envelopment and education and support caregivers and parent on the inherent value of the child
